Brand new to the forum, I have mostly been a spectator so far...

So,
I am currently doing the pre-app/foundation program and will be done with that in July. My girlfriend and I will likely be living in Vernon, BC starting September for her schooling. I was wondering how possible would it be for me to find camp based work as a 1st year apprentice as I hope I could make more money this way and maybe get better work opportunities (?) vs local contractor. I have been doing camp work for a while now in other industries and enjoy the lifestyle. However, I am open to any local work as well, just trying to weight my options I guess...

What I got:
- First Aid (OFA1)
- CSTS
- WHMIS
- Class 4 driver's license (Clean abstract)
- Electrical Foundation Training (July 2014)

I am use to work long hard days from the mineral exploration industry.
I have an excellent work ethic and am a fast learner.

So what kind of work should I expect and what pay range would be realistic?

Cheers!

well camp work is mostly all industrial ... so you can start by researching what an industrial spark does.

i was hired right out of pre employment by a large industrial company. i lucked out. expect to build a **** load of cable tray and do big wire pulls, and not much else. maybe some heat trace.
