Transit has to small of a wheelbase IMO. I hated driving that damn Sprinter, especially on I-15 with winds from the canyons. It always wanted to tip over. The Transit's going to go down the same route. :censored:

I can get past the looks. I don't think there is going to be any better combination of size and fuel economy. I'd test drive one. I'd consider another sprinter, the ford or the dodge. I like the headroom.

The wheelbase on all but the smallest is longer then the outgoing, so really what is the problem? Oh, and if wind is a problem don't buy a high roof vehicle, seriously the complaints people invent.

Its no secret that I hate Fords to begin with but DAAAAMMMMNN that thing is fugly.
I mean.....vans are ugly things to start with but that is uckin fugly.

I'm sure that vehicle designers have been getting up in the morning and saying....."Hmmmm, I'm going to design the ugliest thing on the road today".

If you have to drive a van it should at least look cool.......like this one

They all are a big box to haul my crap around. Just trying to find the best combination of size and gas mileage. The next will end up with the bench seat too in the back for the kids. I imagine they will have a crew van option too.

We have owned maybe 30 E250's and best investment in a service vehicle for our needs. In typical American logic quit making a top seller. Chevy did that with the Astro.
My first company I worked for had a high double digit fleet of E250s and they had nothing but trouble with the transmissions. The only thing the econoline had going was the low price that's why most large companies bought them. We had many in 20-30k miles range with trans problems.

Those vans are good for flower delivery and painters in my opinion.
