Yes it is but, Kamado style cooking is all the same.
The great thing about it is you have heavy ceramics to hold the heat.
They can be set to as low as 200 degrees. Even a little less or wide open to 800 plus degrees.
I have the Grill Dome brand XL size.
Its a diverse beast.
