thanks. whoever put this in ran a #4 but put it on a 50a breaker, then installed a 30a fusible disconnect.

According to the nameplate and the heater package installed, minimum circuit ampacity is 111.7 amps and maximum OCPD is 125 amps.

That is not what I am seeing...I'm seeing MaxOCP at 80/90A depending on voltage for the heaters.

He has heater package 103A00.
In the top nameplate the info is next to that heater package.

Actually, I think I got my numbers mixed up, this heater package isn't listed on the nameplate. Not exact anyway.

You're correct, the heater package above the one I listed corresponds to the amperage of his heater package.

UL nameplate must be followed as per NEC. 15 kW heater unit that was installed was not marked on nameplate. Have to work backwards to locate correct unit on nameplate. 85 amp circuit & 90 amp CB for 230 volt installation.

15 kW element @ 62.5 fla + indoor fan @ 6 fla = 68.5 x 1.25 = 85.625
No compressor or outdoor fan loads for electric heat.:thumbsup:

I would have the HVAC guy come back and mark the correct block.

Read the heater amps in the second photo. 62.5A at 240v. Then find the same heater amps in the first photo under one of the other heater packages. That gets you 85.6 min circuit ampacity and 90 amp breaker.
I don't get why the HVAC guys never check the box though, that would make it way too easy!
