When (if ever?) does your state, city or jurisdiction adopt the 2014 NEC? For us (Minnesota) it's August 1, 2014. We are however able to use the 2011 NEC for any permits opened before August 1, 2014.

We in NC will know more next week. Right now there is a proposal to accept the 2014 for commercial work and continue with the 2011 for residential. I think it is ridiculous.

2016/17 at the earliest here unless they change the typical schedules.

we're still on 2008, I believe we go to 2011 12/31/14 (that's when the 2013 FBC is effective, which references the 2011 NEC)

We're still on the 2008 here in Indy. Rumor is that we will completely skip the 2011 and adopt the 2014 sometime in 2015.

We should be. I was told by Tom Garvey that we were changing 12/1/13 at an IAEI code seminar last month. I have a copy of the State's amendments, but there are some errors and they needed to get them fixed. I haven't checked online since.

I believe SPS 316 has been updated to reflect the 2011, but I haven't found that in the text.

AH HAH...

SPS 316.014  Adoption of standards by reference. (1)  Primary standards. The following standard is hereby incorporated by reference into this chapter, subject to the modifications specified in this chapter:
