Interested in any/all thoughts on this topic : Kitchen/Attics.

My understanding of Arc-Fault Breaker Requirements for NEC 2014 new construction residences is that they are required in all rooms in the house except Basement or Garage and Bathrooms.

Section 210.12(A)

So, I understand by NEC 2014 that Baths/Garage/Basement/ to be excluded.

Also, does anyone have an opinion on Attics, small question but many have a light/receptacle/furnace-ignitor/water-heater now adays. I'm thinking no.

Of course AHJ always have the final say...
