Yeah, but those schools suck, too. Once took a class where the instructor couldn't pronounce "Askeral" and kept calling it "asterisk."...They do have real schools for us to go to.

"...the ground and the neutral are identical........"
"...ground is neutral, neutral is ground...."
What an A$$hole

Oh like that word means anything important in electrical. :laughing:Once took a class where the instructor couldn't pronounce "Askeral" and kept calling it "asterisk."
I fast forwarded it most of the time to cut it down to about a half hour:laughing:I'm not watching that crap, but did he actually talk for over an hour about panels????
I didn't take anything out of context. He is perpetuating the myth that any electricity, fault current or otherwise only goes to ground. He was referring to the neutral coming in to the panel and on the pole, they are the same thing to the poco. He did mention after the main panel they have to be separate, which is the right thing to advise. Your taking it out of context.
The guy googles up some basic information online then makes a podcast to hear himself talk. The crazy thing is people believe these "teachers" left an right because he speaks with confidence. Read the comments on the videoI didn't take anything out of context. He is perpetuating the myth that any electricity, fault current or otherwise only goes to ground.
If we go by his words, you wouldn't need a neutral from the POCO, as long as you've got a good ground.
He also does a piss poor job of explaining why grounds and neutrals should be separate past the main.
I can't believe you're defending him.........that's not you is it?:jester:
I was thinking the function of the incoming poco neutral which does both, ie multi grounded neutral popped in to my head. But only because his terminology is so vague it was my guess what he is referring to.I didn't take anything out of context. He is perpetuating the myth that any electricity, fault current or otherwise only goes to ground.
