Not to bad, but a few goof ups.

And no, you don't use Nolox because the aluminum wire is being connected to a copper buss. GE panel neutral buss bars are made out of aluminum that's tin plated so it doesn't matter.

.............and yet another YouTube idiot who has no clue about grounding and bonding spreading disinformation.

"...the ground and the neutral are identical........"

"...ground is neutral, neutral is ground...."

What an A$$hole

He was referring to the neutral coming in to the panel and on the pole, they are the same thing to the poco. He did mention after the main panel they have to be separate, which is the right thing to advise. Your taking it out of context.

I didn't take anything out of context. He is perpetuating the myth that any electricity, fault current or otherwise only goes to ground.

If we go by his words, you wouldn't need a neutral from the POCO, as long as you've got a good ground.

He also does a piss poor job of explaining why grounds and neutrals should be separate past the main.

I can't believe you're defending him.........that's not you is it?:jester:

The guy googles up some basic information online then makes a podcast to hear himself talk. The crazy thing is people believe these "teachers" left an right because he speaks with confidence. Read the comments on the video
"thank you very much, you probably have already saved alot of lives by this video."

I was thinking the function of the incoming poco neutral which does both, ie multi grounded neutral popped in to my head. But only because his terminology is so vague it was my guess what he is referring to.

But I do agree with you, hes explanations are poor. Depending on what you know you can end up with about 30 different interpretation of it. Hence why these guys are so popular, everyone walks away thinking they learned something no matter how they interpreted it. :censored:
