So the shell of this building was built before we stepped foot on the job. GC ran transformer and generator pipes. There is no building steel wire though. Anyone had this happen to them before?

Any ideas?

It has steel in the building, there is no write coming from the steel, which is encased in concrete currently and up to grade. Building ground requirements state you have to be close to the bottom with 20ft continuous steel/metal conductive material. Looking like we will have to dig and hammer drill unless any of you have a better suggestion.

The building is block, the ceiling is wood, the only beams are on the veranda and they also are wood. It calls for a triangular ground rod layout as well.

Here, we would simply have to install ground rods in lieu of the ufer, but I have read of areas/inspectors that would require the GEC to go to any new rebar/footings.

Do you have any reference that is legal? There is already a triangular ground rod system requested, will this suffice?

The GC took responsibility and offered his man power in anyway needed to assist us. Just trying to learn by questioning other options.
