Hi guys!! I have been watching this site for quite some time!! Great info here. Ive been in business for about five years now and finally starting to turn the corner into maybe the profit zone. I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to bypass the wholesaler and go direct to their wholesaler. I put in about 1000 potlights per week and I am searching methods on how to get my potlight frame, trim and led cheaper.

I got two vans just doing this for a gc that sells these to homeowners doing soffits. Pretty simple because all soffit is ripped out already. These are priced per potlight wired and dimmer extra. I think I'm going to start hitting up exterior renovators and get them to up sell them also.

For that kind of volume, you can do a deal locally. Shop it to a few wholesalers and don't be scared to phone a couple of reps as well (like Macs ll). I have never known a rep who won't try to put together a deal.

I have a hard time believing youre installing 200 cans a day.

But if you are, I cant imagine you would be paying more than $6/can and $2/trim. LED lamp probably around $15 - $20.

How much better pricing do you think you could get?

Liteline seems to be the best bang for the buck already. I don't know if you're going to get any further deals on their stuff.
I agree. You may be able to shave a few pennies , sorry- nickels, but that would add up.
