Anyone know of or use a calendar program like Google calendar to schedule multiple service trucks? Right now, I am the only service van running out of my shop. We have 6 other trucks doing construction. The boss wants to start running another service truck, keep track of who is allocated to be where and when, even the construction trucks.
Thanks in advance

depends on how much he wants to spend but their are scheduling software available. /we use successware21 and it has scheduling available we color code our different service areas and the techs are assigned jobs according to location. The dispatch screen shows each tech and the jobs scheduled so when a new call comes in they can be placed to the correct tech based on the color code.

We (I) are (am) using IFScore Tech Tool on an iPad to generate work orders, view site history, and generate invoices. They are "working" on a multiple tech scheduling program. I like the idea of seeing multiple techs by locale to determine assignments. Service is an area they want to grow, at the same time they want to expand the service area. It's my own damn fault, I worked for this company doing mostly service calls for the second half of the year. The first half of the year, the kid they had doing service did 100k in sales. Second half, I did 350k in sales by myself. It's all T&M. After expenses, they netted 300k on my work and 40k on the other kid(he forgot to include a lot of material when he clicked finalize invoice). I know a lot of guys on here do service work, figured some must be running the show. Love the fact I stumbled across this forum doing a google search on screwdrivers... Lol

We recently switched to Service Titan. Cloud based, reasonable cost.
We can dispatch and, see the GPS location of each truck, text between the office and guys, create estimates and work orders in the field. It also records phone calls, and attaches the recording to the work order and tracks the marketing source of each job.
I can see the sales orders as they guys create them in the field. It tracks revenue of each person, conversion rate average ticket and more. Love the reporting capabilites.

We like it a lot so far, it works well for a small service shop.
