Pull off a 200 main breaker panel with a plug in tap to a . generator transfer 60 amp sub panel. I have several plug in taps and hate using two breakers to control one load.

I suppose, if it meets the tap rules. If the customer is paying, I don't see what the issue is with the breaker protecting the feeder.

I just frown on a breaker protecting a breaker of the same size. Kinda like a gfci protecting a gfci.

it's not protecting the other breaker. it's protecting the feeder.
