Inspector failed to approve rough wiring due to several of the gang-able PVC boxes fast clamps where knocked out during installation. Any approved fix for this or do boxes have to be replaced?
The one you carefully set in place before inspection? Are you talking about the little square piece that is held on by two little pieces of plastic?

Im just wondering if were talking about the same box. The blues I have always used have a ~3/8" square ko that you can fit a cable through and offers no clamping action. Are those supposed to stay? The one you carefully set in place before inspection?

I dunno. We sometimes use these. If the tab breaks off we kinda sorta maybe put it back on for...erm...aesthetic reasons....Im just wondering if were talking about the same box. Energy codes may require them to be "repaired".We break plenty in low temps, our inspectors simply aren't going to focus on minutia because they've bigger code fish to fry

Just use an airtight box. Some of the people we work with foam behind the box as part of the insulated process. If the vapor barrier thing is so important, then foam it. As long as the damn foam doesn't get inside it excessively.
