This is my first time here, I have less experience with VFD Choppers. Do these normally make noise while in DB action ? I found a few choppers making sound while doing chopping. Why does this occur ?

What kind of sound?

I've never heard a peep out of the ones we have.

What size drives? HP-VAC

We did have one set that let the smoke out, those made sounds, like fried chicken, smelled like :censored:.

1000v, 1200A rated choppers. These seem to be working fine.

tik - tik sound ? haha I really don't know how to explain the sound its kind of high pitch.

This is a inverter / drive bay which has a common chopper. The ones i have seen smaller capacity ones, do not make a sound either.

The load bank seem to be thelma and berger make.

At 1000V and 1200A, yeah, you will hear the static electricity type of sound. It's the little pulses of EMI (Electro-Magnetic Interference) coming off of the chopper transistor. it happens on the smaller ones too, it's just so little of a sound that it gets lost in all of the other louder noises.
