I'm looking for feedback from current users of newer circuit tracers.

I've been putting off for way too long in buying a new one and
am looking for feedback on what you're using and how well it
works for you.

Quality first, cost second, but I'm not looking to over pay for a tool.

I will second the Ideal 61-956. We have one of these at work. And it works great. Easy to use, the receiver can be set to four different sensitivity levels. So you start with the most sensitive setting and walk up to the front of a closed panel. If it gives a large number you are probably looking at the right panel. You can then press the mode button til you get down to BR(breaker) setting. This is now the least sensitive setting. You will need to be on the right breaker to get a good number. Like any device the age and condition of the wiring in the building will affect the quality if signal. So you must get used to the device. I have found the right breaker with signals less than 50 which is half the scale available. Usually if you get on the right breaker you will see numbers above 85. It is an expensive device but how much is an injury or damage 'worth'? Best of luck with your quest.
