I use the Klein Journeyman 2000 side cutters. I recently bought the Milwaukee 8" side cutters. For the price, they are impressive as hell. Now I not saying they are better, but i am starting to prefer them for everyday stuff.

That said, for me Klein has always been better. Channel lock is ok.

A lot of people here call lineman pliers 'side cutters'. I've always called my diagonal cutters 'side cutters' as lineman's are commonly known as 'pliers.'

I have a set of Channellock 449s. Great pliers, never have had a problem yet. I'd buy them again. Never had a tip break like I've been hearing with the Kleins. :thumbsup:

My vote is for Klein. I have the ones with the light blue handles and their great. I beat and cut and pry anything with them and haven't had an issue yet

Between the two Klein takes the title hands down, though I personally much prefer Knipex.
