We have a door safety monitor at our fire station in the truck bay that shuts down during power outages. We want to put it on emergency power , it uses a 120v recp...is there a way to do this and not be gfci protected? We're afraid of the gfci failing(it's happened before)

If it's possible to hard wire, the maintenance company could always LOTO the circuit feeding it for service.

I'm curious to know if the door monitor is using a low voltage adapter. It might could be tied into the emergency low voltage power already supplied by the alarm company.
