Where is the feed coming from?I have an inspection tomorrow morning and I wont have time to stop by the SH to pick up the right Disco, I do know that I have a 125A 4 circuit main lug load center in one of the trucks and I was wondering if I should take the chance to see if its ok to use it. This is what I intend to use.

Main electrical boxWhere is the feed coming from?
It can be...:laughing:that is not a disconnect
I know is not a disconnect, its actually considered a subpanel, as long as the disconnecting means is within sight I am assuming this might suffice.that is not a disconnect
Hmmmmmm......electrical box eh.Main electrical box
Main electrical box
Main panel is in the basement, disco is located inside the garage, this is for a EV charging system thay requires 100A disco and this actually is a lot smaller than the 100A disco I was supposed to use.Hmmmmmm......electrical box eh.
Thats what I was thinking, this job is a PITA and its about an hour away from the shop, just want to get it done and not comeback again. So that's a sub panel,,as long as you've got A two pole breaker feeding it your good to go....
I know what your thinking ,, inspections suck! .....but don't lose any sleep over it:laughing::thumbsup:
100A EV charging system.what is it going to disco?
agreed:thumbup:That will work just fine. It wouldn't be so hot if you required LOTO but for a charging station it is just fine.

Im just going to install this permanently and call it a day. To comeback and replace it is just not worth it.That will work just fine. It wouldn't be so hot if you required LOTO but for a charging station it is just fine.
If it has a breaker is considered a disconnecting means, it's like adding a subpanel with an outlet underneath that requires a disco, if a breakers is within reach a disco is not required. But every inspector is different and can fail me for anything anyways. Why do you call a DISTRO ? A disco ?
Because it's a "DISCO" not a "Distro"....:laughing:Why do you call a DISTRO ? A disco ?
