I have an inspection tomorrow morning and I wont have time to stop by the SH to pick up the right Disco, I do know that I have a 125A 4 circuit main lug load center in one of the trucks and I was wondering if I should take the chance to see if its ok to use it. This is what I intend to use.

I know is not a disconnect, its actually considered a subpanel, as long as the disconnecting means is within sight I am assuming this might suffice.

So that's a sub panel,,as long as you've got A two pole breaker feeding it your good to go....

Main panel is in the basement, disco is located inside the garage, this is for a EV charging system thay requires 100A disco and this actually is a lot smaller than the 100A disco I was supposed to use.

Thats what I was thinking, this job is a PITA and its about an hour away from the shop, just want to get it done and not comeback again.

That will work just fine. It wouldn't be so hot if you required LOTO but for a charging station it is just fine.

Thats what I was thinking, this job is a PITA and its about an hour away from the shop, just want to get it done and not comeback again.

That will work just fine. It wouldn't be so hot if you required LOTO but for a charging station it is just fine.

Im just going to install this permanently and call it a day. To comeback and replace it is just not worth it.

If it has a breaker is considered a disconnecting means, it's like adding a subpanel with an outlet underneath that requires a disco, if a breakers is within reach a disco is not required. But every inspector is different and can fail me for anything anyways.
