Why not just plug in the DW with an appliance cord?
Depends on the make, some come with a cord, I just split a duplex and mount in the same place and drill a 1 1/4" hole for the plug to pop thru. Why buy a $8 cord when I can use a $0.79 switch.

Mainly because Then I can put the cord on when the dw is in the garage and not wait for the plumbers.
