We used hairspray on throttle grips. That might work. You get a lubricant to slide them on and the sticky left over helps hold it in place.

The handles on my journeyman Linesmans kept slipping off, so I squirted some PL In there, and they've been great ever since... Replacement grips, I'm not sure.

Those fall under warranty. Strippers don't but lines, needle nose, *****, etc all warranty the grips.

Thanks, I meant they are to make them more like a high voltage grips, I just couldn't get them on.

I've never been able to get them on, just been able to stop them from coming off.

If they are the hard red type, you have to get them in some hot water, just at a low boil, get them to soften and slide them on.
If they are the various snug fitting type, use soapy water. They should slide on with little effort. Let them dry overnight.
