Im working on a house for a friend and he has a 4 wire 240 v line going to his dryer. The plug from the new dryer is a 3 wire plug. The dryer is running and seems to work ok but is not getting as hot as it shoud to dry the cloths. Can anyone tell me if we need to change the three wire plug from the dryer or if this is ok? :whistling2:
When I say work I mean drink beer and paint walls. I need to know if we need an electrician to look at it. The cable in the dryer does not have a seprate ground like the outlet.
