Im bidding a remodel job (commercial) that shows a bunch of receps relocated , some within 3' of original position. There is no indication at all that justifies tearing a wall apart, rerouting circuits etc. just to shift a device a few feet, example- general wall receptacle, or office area wall behind customers who sit in front of an agents service desk. I'm just curious if I should include in estimate to do as plan shows or skip it to be competitive. Another question I have is the plans specify each sub responsible for cutting and patching walls, and I have lots of that to do, so should I exclude any repair in my bid? They want a price by thursday for me to even have a chance, so I dont have time to get a sub's estimate for drywalling. Secondly, that just doesnt seem normal, at least not in my little experience.

I would bid it per spec and drawings and then I would give a deduct if they would except the outlets where they are within 2 to 3 foot where shown

If I did not have time to get a quote from a drywaller then there is no way that is included in my bid

Yup, that is what I would do.

Eliminating it from your bid might eliminate you from being awarded the job.

I tell the customer they just need to get a drywaller to so make sure they account for that cost.

it sounds like it is spelled out in the bid that you repair your damage. If you don't include it and are awarded the bid you better make sure it is in the contract document or you will have to pay. Contact the GC and find out who is bidding drywall and contact them for a number.

Thanks guys, I contacted the GC this morning and he made it clear that he was handling all the drywall. Better safe than sorry.
