Hello everyone! I'm rankin -- just today, I've learned that IBEW local 106 has offered me an apprenticeship.
Naturally, I'm excited! I'm also thankful, as this site gave me quite a bit of insight on what to expect from the placement test and the panel interview. I'm entirely convinced that I wouldn't have been accepted, were it not for this site.
I'm from Western New York, a place filled with seas of grape-fields, with meth-labs honeycombed throughout . Just last year, I finished my B.A. in English from a local state university. I learned about the trade through my fiance's uncle, and decided upon it as my career goal.
To be honest, I'm pretty nervous. I know jack-squat about electrical work, besides all the life-threatening stuff. I'm sure you'll see me many times in the future, asking topics with dumb questions.
