Finally got some pictures of stuff from my jobs. I think these were all from my second day. First one was one of my first switches. Second was my journeyman showing me what 'technically is not legal' and that, while some people do what he is doing, nobody can make me do it if I don't want to because it's not safe. Third is one of the houses. Fourth was us fixing an issue with an outside outlet...and finding a bunch of beer cans stuffed in the house.

I can honestly say I love my job and the people I work with. This is the first time in my life that I have ever been able to say that I miss being at work when I'm not there. I work with such a great crew and my journeyman has a lot of patience.

Yeah, they're beer cans. I explained that above haha. We were having an issue with that outlet...so we opened it up and there they were...it wasn't our crew, though, because that everyone that had done the rough-in/trim on that was standing there and we had all worked together.

He does it no problem...I got up on the ladder twice today to try and put those cans in, but my fingers aren't strong enough to pull the springs (I always use my strippers to put them in) so I haven't been able to put one in yet up that high...and I'm working on my fear of the ladders. My journeyman's patient, though...he has me go up and mess around with the cans a bit, then come back down.

The fear of the ladders is getting me, though. Hopefully I'll get over it...I'm trying. I went under one of the houses today and worked a bit (I only do new construction, so it's clean)...and I went in a attic too.

Yes...I have Stanley hi-vis screwdrivers from bLowes. They were cheap and will work fine till I can afford Klein's. Oh...and two days in a row not getting shocked. Have yet to throw a breaker too!
Well at least you'll be able to find them easier in an attic or crawlspace.

I try to send my apprentice to those kinds of places, so I don't need hi-vis tools....

Don't throw breakers, they're too expensive. Throw indestructible things, like your hammer. I'd save up money for a decent driver too.
