Hello, I am from the UK and I was wondering what you americans call First Fix Electrics and Second Fix Electrics.

First Fix: Positioning and securing of accessory boxes

Second Fix: Preparation and positioning of cables

Thanks in advanced

We do both of those steps at once, and call it the "rough-in", "rough wiring", or simply the "rough".

Around here, it's two different terms. I call his first description " roughing in"

Then come back "cut in" all the cables. Its done in two different steps.

Rough the whole house in will get all the cables in place, but just hanging at each box.

Cutting in gets all those wires into the boxes and grounds made up.

Pigtails and grounds must be made up ready for devices to get a rough in here.
