hello, I am not an electrician but I need some concrete advice. I am getting ready to leave the military and purchase our first house. the house was flooded during hurricane katrina (new orleans). the contractor (i use it loosley) did not replace the wiring in the house after it flooded 6-9 feet. i'v been told by the inspector i paid $300 that rewiring is overrated, but come on does this make sense? the house is HUGE but I dont want my family to burn in i tone nite or wathc our belongings burns down in a year or so.

Should home wires need to be replaced? HONESTLY,
