i had to stand on the edge of a bath tub to work on a high sub panel once
yes it was directly over the tub, centered
yes i wondered ... what were they thinking ...
it was old k&t so very old

Definitely not as interesting as that ladder climb, just an example that some times multiple people can miss something.

I've asked a few people and the smaller amp breakers, 15A and 20A for example don't have them. I'll just chalk it up to not noticing it before haha.

From a quick inventory, 15A, 20A, and 30A only have 1 clip. 40A and up have two, QO or QOB.

Interestingly, the same appears to apply to 3P Square D breakes as well, although I don't have the full range on the shelf.
