Generator Laws

Are there any states that have laws governing improper connection of generators? I'm not looking for NEC chapter and verse or any other technical reason. What I am looking for is a law designed to protect power company employees from improperly commented generator. Basically it would make it a criminal offense for someone to improperly connect a generator if someone gets hurt. Thanks. LC

Well, if the install doesn't meet NEC and UL listings then whoever installed it is liable. Look at the electricians who are being charged with negligent homicide in Houston for that person who was electrocuted in that swimming pool.
An improper connection a felony?

I can only imagine HS would be all over it!

As well as local codes and ordinances, and POCO standards too.
