Need to size a 240v 10kw generator wire. It'll be carrying 42 amps. Looked in section 28 and they don't have much for sizing the generator wire. Do you have to times it by 125% like a motor? so 42 x 1.25= 52.5 A. so a #6 copper or #4 AL... if someone could help me out with a rule # that would be great. Thanks.

Ya kinda figured that. It just didnt say anything about conductor sizing in the generators section of section 28

I've wondered why section 28 for generators in the CEC does not have any rules on conductor sizing and over current protection sizing. By reading stuff online it seems that you follow manufactures instructions.
