This may have been brought up but I didn't see it. As we, the 5 brains in my company, understand it, all receptacles in the utility room have to be GFCI protected. Does that include the dryer?
The book says unfinished basements and then defines that by calling unfinished the same as uninhabitable. I would say your utility room most definitely fits the description. The only thing I know of thats exempt from this is permanently mounted fire/burglar systemsponyboy said:Unfinished floor- yes

Not usually but if we wire up for one of those, I now have the answer. Thanks.ponyboy said:Correct. It's only 120 volt 15 or 20 amp receptacles. I thought you meant the dryer was gas
