Doing the work yourself is OK for a guy just starting out with an extra 40-50 hours per week of downtime because he does not have much work yet.@hack is the man for this.
What I'd tell you is to create your web page, then get on Google Maps, then do a Google Ads campaign and hit it hard for the first few months, then shut it down. Once Google has you established at your location and in your area, you will show up on searches for your services in your service area.
But Hack will tell you you're an electrician, not a SEO company, and to hire a SEO company.

I could not disagree with this more.It's low cost to try it yourself. Test it out and see what you can do. If you can learn to do it yourself you'll save money. It's pretty easy honestly.
