In my renovation I have been changing the copper to PEX. I removed the ground clamp and am saving it for the next BIG job. I have a rod driven. Any thoughts?

See it on a lotta renos Rivet, mostly the main and branch lines, leaving the older copper intact @ the fixtures.

So many times there's a situation where, there isn't an H20 GEC, nor are the plumbing fixtures such as sink, shower,etc grounded to an ECG anymore.

I've ran #8 solid around and tagged the fixtures before, but the GEC is busted down to Rods , or in a few cases if they pour any 'Crete we'll dump 20' of CU in it

I would leave a bit of copper with a ground clamp to ground the "water" and all the metal stuff it touches. Admittedly that system doesn't work if there is no water in the pipes, but if there is no water there are probably no people. Or just people who don't need water.:whistling2:

You need a second rod, unless you can prove < 25 ohms.

Bust open the basement floor and install a Ufer ground.
