Im putting two disconnects side by side connected with a 2" nipple next to a two gang meter base. When I run the GEC to the first disconnect, can I then run the GEC through the nipple into the other disconnect? The nipple will have the service conductors in there as well. Or, can the nipple act as the ground?

Thanks. Can the ground be bare?

A warning-- Around here we often use solid copper and I got call on 310.106(C). I can see if this was a long run with bends but a short nipple...gee wiz.
