Hello
I have a 200amp main service panel that does not have an earth ground installed. The neutral and the grounding bus bars are tied together. I want to run a sub panel off this service panel. How do i ground the sub panel? Do i need to run a ground back to the main service panel? Do i need to install an earth ground and then run it to the sub panel? Or can i just run an earth ground at the sub panel ?

Thanks

Welcome aboard...

Is this a side job or a job for your boss,? Are you qualified in your state to work on your own.

Also you should have a copy of a code book to look this up.

You are welcome to come and learn but it is clear that you should not be doing this work unsupervised. Therefore I am closing this thread.
