Hi all some great info/posts, the forum has been a huge help already!

I have recently moved from Ireland to Toronto,ON (10 months ago) and I am looking at challenging the 309a exam over the next couple of months so I would really appreciate some advice? I am fully qualified in Ireland and have been approved by the college of trades to challenge the exam but I need to hit the books for a couple of months as it has been way too long since I have had to study any theory and I am little out of practice! I am not currently working in the trade but have set a target for myself to get back on my tools and complete the exam over the next few months.

Is there any courses/books that anybody can recommend? I am aware I will need to purchase the 2012 edition of the code book but any other advice would be great!

Thanks!

Welcome aboard...
Welcome
I helped an Irish guy study for his exams. He went to the CSA site and found some study material and test questions. You might try it.

Welcome to Canada but Toronto?? Why? Did you murder someone in Ireland and you need a place to hide?

Thanks I will have a look at the CSA and see what I can gather. How exactly did you help him study were you his personal tutor? I'm currently not working in the trade so will need to give myself some extra time to get up to speed as I'm probably a little rusty!

Oh and I was never convicted for the murder :2guns::thumbsup:
Construction and maintenance electrician certificate of qualification pre exam workbook
Marvin Rosenberg.
Specific to red seal exam
Oh, Canada!
Thanks all for the replies. I think I will try the C of Q practice tool from the CSA website, maybe download the free app and give it a try?

The Construction and maintenance electrician certificate of qualification pre exam workbook by Marvin Rosenberg looks good also
