BIG problem.. I removed a cove plate in my garage and tried to install an outlet there. I connected the red wire to brass screw, black wire to brass, white to silver and ground to green. Correct! When I was done I tested outlet it did not work because I WAS TOLD that 3-wire (white/black/red/ground) was pose to be used for light switch only. So I said o well ill take it back apart and just slap the cover plate back on. But now when I installed the pigtails I connected the red AND black wire in one.. the white separate in its own pig tail and left the ground just pushed to the back of box.. NOW My Light switch does not turn on or anything ..Did I fry something PLEASE HELP!?!! BIG uh oh Moment
