When will they ever learn? Distribution equipment downstream from the main service neutral ground bond, THE NEUTRAL DOES NOT GET BONDED.

This was common throughout the facility for lighting panels FSS.

I wired up a Kiln this morning that had a N-G bond inside the Kiln, right from the factory, even though it was designed to be fed with 5-wire. The bond was even on the schematics, but it took a bit to find it on the actual machine to remove it.

I have found that many garage door openers, (Genie, in partiuclar) have a neutral-ground bond inside the GDO, with some sort of iron core wound inductor in the bond. I'm not sure what the idea is here, but it sometimes messes with GFCI's.

Take a look at the discoloration of the lugs in your second picture. Also if those were MBJ (screws) they are required to be green.

There seems to be a tremendous amount of misunderstanding about how to and not bond after the service disconnnecting means.

Do you know about how long that's been? I can clearly remember installing equipment mabe 10-15 years ago with silver (non green) factory-supplied bond screws.
This building was built in the mid 70's, but there have been numerous remodels.
I have many problems with unqualified persons bonding N-G in sub-panels. Also, I have seen many electric ranges with a grounding strip on the neutral straight from the factory. Probably for older 3wire systems.

It is supposed to be removed when installing the 4-wire cord. I wonder if the guys who install the cords know that? (Not always the electrician who does it)
In this area many appliance suppliers have their delivery guys install whips. I'm sure they dont know to remove it
