Hi everyone,

My name is Jay and looking to make a change in my career path and hope to become a proud member of IBEW. The only drawback I have is that I'm 45 and worked as a project manager (non-electrician) in publishing.

I'm brushing up on my math/algebra each night and hope that I can test well and be considered into an apprenticeship program.

I'm a hard and dedicated worker and want to be able to do something at the end of the day I can have pride in.

I hope my age and current career aren't drawbacks. Any words of advice would help alot!

Hopefully, age will not matter. Other than that doing as you are doing is a good thing. Good luck and welcome to the forum..
