Same-same here! Welcome to the forum!
Hey Sparkster! Relax and jump in!
Liking the Bike Petey what is it a 250 or above? I got rid of my 125 after last summer it was a four stroke dirt bike. I didn’t want to get a 2 stroke because I couldn’t be bothered with the repairs. I may consider one this summer as the speed on my 125 made me want more. I had an RM 250 a few years back never had any problems with it but bought a CR 125 and everything went wrong.
That is my "next" bike, I think.....

I have a KX250 now. I want a KTM 250SX. My bike is older and I'd like something new. I am a die hard two stroke guy.
I REALLY want to get back into racing but I may re-think that.
I am a life long rider, I used to race motocross years back, I had a sport bike for 10 years, but just Friday I fell on my bike. I was going a bit quick in my yard and was braking hard. Just as I reached the end of my grass I was coming to a stop and the front tire got off the grass into the gravel at the edge of the road and the front tire washed out. I got a bit of road rash on my one arm but my left thumb caught something and got pulled down.
I tore a ligament real bad and now need surgery to fit it properly. Stupid little fall and I get hurt worse that I ever have before.
This is NOT GOOD for folks in our position! I am scared sh*tless about the next two+ months and how I am going to get things done.:(

My main love besides bikes and cars is fishing. I am having a hard time convincing myself that a bike is still better than a bass boat at this point. :001_huh:

The 4 stroke KTM's sound beefy, 600's specially 2 strokes are scary can be lethal in the wrong hands ironic how you like fishing so do I. Mostly course fishing for carp, bream, tench, perch, roach etc one day last summer was fishing the canal near me catching bream all day long bagging up 60 lbs+ and a couple of guys on crossers passed us by so one kicked the power band in and rapped in to a post, broke his collar bone but was only opening it up a little and that happened like you say small accidents can be the worse. I see where your coming from with your injury although im not an electrician your hands and fingers are very important. I have pulled a ligament before follow your docs instructions like the time to start stretching and when not to, because I kind of didn’t follow my docs advice and strenuous work causes pain and swelling so follow all the instructions mate and im sure you will be fine. Its a shame fishing and motocross is a different kind of adrenalin or fishing could be a full time hobby. You must be good on the bikes if you used to race an old friend got me in to it I went to all his race meetings he never made it at motorcross but now is sponsored and races for a team in speedway.
