Firstly hello to all. I am new to this forum so I thought I'd just Say Hi!
Could someone explain something to me? I understand that in domestic situations and shoreside idustrial environments, it is a requirement to have RCD's (or RCBO's). This then gives protection to the user.
Now am I right in saying that in Marine setups (i.e no Earth or Neutral) there is no need for such protection because in the event of a fault, the only route to ground (Earth) would be you, and so no current flows.
Could someone confirm this for me? Many Thanks!
