Spend the money and buy tungsten carbide tipped.
Starrett is a good brand.

Do they make a hole saw set that lasts?
I've had sterett , greenlee, Bosch , Milwaukee , and countless others .
They are all hard to keep.
Carbide being best .
Not sure if they were worth the money though.

I bought that set and they threw in the carbide hole cutter set in free! Haven't tried it yet because I've got the Greenlee ones.

Aren't you an apprentice with like a month in the trade? Is your company making you buy your own hole saw kit? Tell them to f*ck off if that's the case.

I don't even see the point of a hole saw kit. All I need is 2 or 3 hole saw sizes to get the jobs done. Hell I probably don't even need them either.

My favorite is still the Blair Holecutters. The make both carbide and standard ones, I have not tried the carbide one. The key is slow RPMs and heavy pressure. Most smaller drill motors cannot not provide enough torque to spin the cutter at a low enough speed.
I make all the electrons line up for their Flu shots

I'm sick and tired of getting wound up in drills and cords because of hole saws. Rotozip - fast and easy as long as you know how to use one properly. Even in cement block.
