So, we are on a job updating fixtures and my boss tucked $50 dollar bills into a couple of the boxes.

I was floored so I showed my boss when I found one. Thought maybe it was a sneaky cash hiding spot for someone. :no:

Another guy, Jim my crew man found one, pocketed it and didnt say a word. He ultimately got fired. Not sure if he denied finding it or what....


Why doesnt this make sense to Hawkshock?

Sounds like your boss is insane.

If his crew was all stand up dudes, they would have all got a nice $50 dollars surprise. Instead, he found out who he dont have to give the paid week off over christmas plus a week pay bonus.

No, these were existing, My boss popped the plates and slid the bill in along the left side. Could have been the HO hiding cash even. Wasnt Jim's to pocket and not say something. Not sure if it was a test or it turned into one. Cause my boss seemed sincerely stoked when I said what I found and told me to keep it and take the wife to dinner.

What you arent getting is I told my boss. hey I just found a $50 in this box, and he said yeah, keep it. Then another guy who found a $50 said nothing at all. Then was confronted by the boss and asked why he pocketed it and didnt say anything. Pretty simple.
