I would put the link up but I have no clue how to do it, go to The Hull Truth.com its a boating forum, click on dockside chat and click on MY LAST ELECTRICAL QUESTION. This guy is bad, he claims that a licensed electrician is doing the work, you guys tell me? People like this piss me off, he is trying to save a nickle and in the process probally going to burn his house down!! I know this is a bit of a rant but just read the post and see.

I wish I had the time to read all 11 pages. Bet there's some really good stuff in there.

Scanned a little bit and saw that one guy said to never run the ground wire in the same conduit as the feeder and that a #6 aluminum would be good for 65A. Good times.

Ok, I have some down time today so I glanced through it.

I don't have blood pressure issues, but it about gave me some.

People like that won't listen to reason and it would be a waste of time to create an account there just to argue with him.

The white PVC plumbing fittings are a nice touch. He is going to fix those with paint. :jester:

What a freakin train wreck.

If I was a moderator on that site that whole thread would end up in the trash bin before someone else thought that what that pompous arse did was acceptable.

Other than the PVC fittings, the other gems included:

  • 3 #6's in 1/2 in pipe:eek:
  • Sprinkler control wire for the control signal wiring:eek:
  • Hole in transfer switch sealed with red tape:eek:
And one of my favorites was the "it's only 12v dc how much punch can it have" comment.

Sending him to our sister site would have accomplished nothing but trashing up our neck of the woods.
