Hi guys

I tried to use the plasma cutter and it said not to crank it up past certain point (cutting power) if my elec is 15amp. If it's 20amp at 120v then I can crank it up.
What's the normal household amperage is at?

Also in the garage I tried to run the plasma and air compressor at the same time (diff plugs) but the breaker blew after a out 10 secs. What gives?

Both air compressor and plasma cutter is for v110-120v

You have plenty of power in your house. See what size breaker you have on the circuit to the cutter. If it's 20A you should be fine to run wide open, if that's the only load on the circuit.

Trying to run both your cutter and compressor (if on the same breaker) will trip the breaker...oh, you already found that out.
