for the general area of where you live
and for the billing year of 2021
what is the average price per kWH you pay?

or maybe what you paid on the last bill

Do you pay different rates in tiers or blocks? I believe our rate is one amount for the first so many KWH, then a different rate in the next block. I’ll have to look it up. I might get billed the higher rate for the whole month once it goes over the first KWH block? Maybe that’s how it is for you, which is why the one month it was low?

I just shredded last months bill. This is probably the worst month for solar output, and I still produced more than I used. Since I put solar on the roof I never get into the higher blocks.

im not aware of higher blocks
when i say that is what it cost me, i take the total bill and divide by kWH
there are always fuel adjustment and hurricane related adjustments
so i dont go by what the poco says is the price

my poco will never give you any solar money back until you close your account permanently
there for we never generate quite as much as we use in a year

6.08 cents for the first 40kW
9.38 cents after that.
Nice that they average out the 40kW per day over the 2 month billing cycle.

If you reduce consumption during peak demand, they credit with 50 cents per kW hour reduced in the period.

8.983 cents/kWh
base charge of $8.86/month plus kWh usage
plus taxes at 12%

For 2022 they are raising rates 3.8%

Which is rather unfortunate for me, I let last months bill get estimated at $210, so this months bill (based on checking my meter) is going to be $850+!! 😫 😫😫

I stopped doing estimated bills because they would ALWAYS be higher than if I was billed normally and they could never give me a reasonable explanation as to why.

We were home a lot through December (wife works from home full time, I work from home about half) plus with the heat and all the Christmas decorations, our last bill was around $350. Normally the only other bills that are close to that high are during the hottest months.

Septembers bill which is normally the highest was

1000kw @ 10.25
393kw @ 14.00
power cost adjustment - 1.3 per kw (that's a credit)
base charge 45.00
Florida gross (what ever that is) 4.82
surge protection 6.00
taxes 0.42
0.87 round up (that goes to charity)

so 1393kw for 200 bucks = 14.3 cent a kw
