The only difference in the Union School is ,The union pays for it.
I went through a non-union program and my employer paid for 100% of my schooling. I completed a certificate program at the local community college and they also sent us to several different seminars, such as a week long Fanuc robotics class in Detroit.
See if you can land one with a large Commercial Electrical contractor because it is more likely that they will send you to school on their dime..:thumbup:
Many of the large manufacturers also offer industrial electrical apprenticeships and schooling is paid for by the employer.
