For instrument loops most plants (and mine) use the traditional
brute force SOLA voltage regulated 24vdc power supplies..
these have been workhorses for years..
switchers are now the rage, and I just got an Allen Bradley 1606 XLP series
so called "Low noise" [email protected] 2.4A powers supply..
does anyone here use these for instrument loops ?
from past experience the older switching PS had lots of noise/RFI, etc...
