I just talked to my rep today. She told me (hush, hush) that the current manufacturer for Ideal's RG-6 & RG-59 BNC compression connectors (purple/chrome) can't keep up with Ideal's demand. So, Ideal has decided to manufacture their own. The product is already good, can't wait to see how Ideal improves on it.

Look for the new connectors in the next 3-6 months.

I use Ideal's version of the snap-n-seal as my regular connector. I just wish the price point was better. I'm forced to bill the things out at a couple bucks a pop, versus the T&B or PPC, which can bill out for less than half that.

That's just for the plenum-rated version of that compression connector.

Those things suck bad. Used 'em on one job and the crimping took about four times as long as I'd estimated because nothing I did could ensure a reliable connection. Never again. :thumbdown:
