Hi, I’m basically brand new to electronic hobbying.
I have 16 feet of LED strips powered by a 12v 30 amp output power supply. There’s a dimmer switch rated for 30 amps between the supply and LEDS.
I want to add a timer to it that is able to either turn them on indefinitely or for 30 and 60 minutes.
I found this light switch that looks perfect but I have no idea where to put it in. Or if it even works. There’s other good options on Amazon but they aren’t rated 30 amps so I don’t know if it’s something I can use.
I’m really sorry for the confusion and naive question. But if I can just just understand how amps relate in the circuit I think things would get a lot easier. I appreciate any help at all thank so much ahead of time.
