Im looking at buying some insulated screwdrivers and am trying to decide whether i should get them with the flared out tip or straight end tip. anybody got some suggestions? any known benefits or uses? any advice would help...
I never buy anything but straight tips for electrical work. Only on the largest drivers would I use a flared tip.
We need narrow ends in most cases to tighten lugs and terminals. Flared tips in many situations will not be able to reach the screw. (will not fit into the recessed screw slot).
Buy straight, but keep a real big flared one for stubborn large connections.
