If you were to rate a worker by task and score them in three categories what three categories would you choose and how many points for each. For example,
Speed = 10 points
Neatness = 15 points
Efficiently = 5 points.

A particular guy I work with I would get 6 points for speed, 15 for neatness and 3 for efficiency. He does the best looking pipe work I've seen in a while but it takes him longer than I like and he likes to use parts I don't have handy and i have to tell him a cheaper or better way to do it.

Other categories could be accuracy, follows
direction, stays on task ect...

25 pts Safety, 20 pts Code-compliant installations, 5 pts Efficiency.

All the efficiency in the world doesn't mean crap if you have to rip it out later and replace it because it failed inspection. :thumbsup:

Reliability. This shouldn't even be a factor but it is.

Knowledge,

speed and neatness.

33/1/3 each.

Now rate yourself.

...how do you factor in a foreman/supervisors setting up the work in a way you feel is wrong, but must do it his/their way?

IMO, all seasoned electricians have strengths and weaknesses, its up to the powers that be to capitalize off the strengths, that's what maximizes profit

We really cannot say too much about efficiency.
It frustrates me to find people getting into a work area unprepared and not having everything they need for a task.
Worst thing is seeing someone stop every time they need a nut, bolt, coupling and wonder off looking for them.
Normally, with age comes efficiency just due to the fact that getting from point A to point B with aching knees and feet suck the joy out of it.

I try to look for extream efficiency in every task not only for economics but that I am a lazy bastard too.

...Nice boobies if she is a female.
A manager has three equally qualified female workers and he can't decide which one to promote, so he devises a plan: He leaves a $100 bill on each of their desks and waits to see how they react.

The first woman returns the money to him immediately.
The second woman invests the money and returns $500 to him at the end of the week.
The third woman keeps the money.

Who gets the raise?

The one with the biggest tits.
